About The Event
Arent & Pyke in conversation with Jonathan Green
Creating authentic, meaningful spaces full of verve and vitality that lift the spirit and nurture the soul, Arent&Pyke are a renowned Sydney-based design practice with a focus on the dynamic, spirited, colourful and very personal appeal of real-life spaces. Established by founders Juliette Arent and Sarah-Jane Pyke, the practice has won numerous awards over the years, including Interior Designer of the Year at last year’s Belle Awards. The pair have just released a beautiful new book, ARENT & PYKE: Interiors Beyond the Primary Palette, which shares their years of experience and insight into how to design a home you will love to live in.
On Wednesday 26 October at White Bay Beer Co., join these two inspiring women in conversation with Meanjin editor Jonathan Green, run as part of Roaring Stories Bookshop’s author events program.
ARENT & PYKE: Interiors Beyond the Primary Palette will be available for purchase at the venue through Roaring Stories, with book signings from the authors following the discussion.
Attendees are asked to arrive at 6.30pm or earlier for a 7pm start at White Bay Beer Co. Seating is unallocated – another reason to arrive early to secure an optimal spot! The bar opens 6pm and closes at 9.30pm on the night of the event, making for an opportune time to settle in and grab a drink before or after, with an incredible range of locally brewed beers and other beverages to enjoy.
There’ll be plenty of delicious food available too thanks to special event caterer Burger 168, so why not make a full evening of it and come for dinner too? You can order before or after the event.
If you miss out on a ticket, you can still watch the event as it is livestreamed from the Roaring Stories Facebook page (accessible on the Home page and from the Live tab). A recording will also be available to view later as an upload on the Roaring Stories YouTube channel.
