Diana Reid in conversation with Jemma Birrell

Diana Reid’s debut novel Love & Virtue won the ABIA Book of the Year Award, the ABIA Literary Fiction Book of the Year Award, the ABA Booksellers’ Choice Fiction Book of the Year Award, and the MUD Literary Prize.

Now, she’s followed it up with a hot new summer book, Seeing Other People. Described by Books+Publishing as a ‘charming, insightful…and immensely readable novel that explores the bonds of family, friendship and principle,’ it’s one of the most anticipated books of the year.

On Wednesday 12 October, join Reid in conversation with Jemma Birrell at White Bay Beer Company for what is sure to be a highlight Roaring Stories Bookshop event.

Seeing Other People and Love & Virtue will be available for purchase at the venue through Roaring Stories, with book signings from Reid following the discussion.

Attendees are asked to arrive at 6.30pm or earlier for a 7pm start at White Bay Beer Co. Seating is unallocated – another reason to arrive early to secure an optimal spot! The bar opens 6pm and closes at 9.30pm on the night of the event, making for an opportune time to settle in and grab a drink before or after, with an incredible range of locally brewed beers and other beverages to enjoy.

There’ll be plenty of delicious food available too thanks to a special event caterer, so why not make a full evening of it and come for dinner too? You can order before or after the event.
