Diego Bonetto in conversation with Costa Georgiadis

Discover your hidden forager and reconnect with the natural world with the help of Diego Bonetto. His new, beautifully designed book, Eat Weeds, will teach you how to open your ‘plant eyes’ and help you identify, harvest, eat and use wild plants.

Join him on Wednesday 22 June in conversation with Costa Georgiadis, the much-loved host of Gardening Australia and author of his most recent book, Costa’s World.

When you buy a ticket, you automatically go in the draw to win a Foraging Skills Gift Voucher valued at $120. Gift Vouchers can be used for any workshops, masterclass or event run by Bonetto, with approximately 100 workshops per year in Greater Sydney, Blue Mountains and Illawarra regions, ranging from wild mushroom foraging, seaside foraging, to identifying wild food and medicine. Learn more here.

The winner of the competition will be drawn and announced on the night of the event.

Attendees are asked to arrive at 6.30pm or earlier for a 7pm start at White Bay Beer Co. Seating is unallocated – another reason to arrive early to secure an optimal spot! The bar opens 6pm and closes at 9.30pm on the night of the event, making for an opportune time to settle in and grab a drink before or after, with an incredible range of locally brewed beers and other beverages to enjoy.

There’ll be plenty of delicious food available too thanks to special event caterer Agape Organic, so why not make a full evening of it and come for dinner too? You can order before or after the event.

Eat Weeds will be available for purchase at the venue through Roaring Stories, with book signings from Bonetto following the discussion.

If you miss out on a ticket, you can still watch the event as it is livestreamed from the Roaring Stories Facebook page (accessible on the Home page and from the Live tab). A recording will also be available to view later as an upload on the Roaring Stories YouTube channel.
