Elaine Pearson in conversation with Craig Foster

*NEW VENUE TO ACCOMMODATE DEMAND, NEW TICKETS RELEASED*

In her new book, Chasing Wrongs and Rights, the Australia Director at Human Rights Watch Elaine Pearson shares her experiences defending human rights – from human trafficking in Nepal to the ‘drug war’ in the Philippines to treatment of detainees in Papua New Guinea and in Australia – offering an extremely involving personal account of how far we’ve come, and how far we’ve got to go.

Join her on Thursday 8 September, where she will talk about the book with Craig Foster, a former Socceroo star turned broadcaster, social justice advocate and human rights campaigner.

Attendees are asked to arrive at 6.30pm or earlier for a 7pm start at White Bay Beer Co. Seating is unallocated – another reason to arrive early to secure an optimal spot! The bar opens 6pm and closes at 9.30pm on the night of the event, making for an opportune time to settle in and grab a drink before or after, with an incredible range of locally brewed beers and other beverages to enjoy.

There’ll be plenty of delicious food available too thanks to a special event caterer, so why not make a full evening of it and come for dinner too? You can order before or after the event.

Chasing Wrongs and Rights will be available for purchase at the venue through Roaring Stories, with book signings from Pearson following the discussion.
