About The Event
Elise Loehnen in conversation with Kerri Sackville
*THE INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER*
‘A stunning, big and bold encyclopedia of how to live.’ — Lisa Taddeo
‘A guide to liberation and a return to the authentic feminine self.’ — Gabor Mate
Why do women equate self-denial with being ‘good’? And what would happen if we stopped trying to be ‘good’? On Our Best Behaviour by Elise Loehnen is a groundbreaking exploration of the Seven Deadly Sins – ancient ideas of morality that still control and distort women’s lives today – revealing how trust in our natural instincts can return us to a more balanced, peaceful, and spiritually complete way to live.
On Thursday 31 August at The Royal Oak, join Loehnen in conversation with author, columnist, and social commentator, Kerri Sackville.
Copies of On Our Best Behaviour (out with Bloomsbury) will be available for purchase at the venue through Roaring Stories, with Loehnen signing copies after the discussion.
Attendees are asked to arrive at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Seating is unallocated – another reason to arrive early to secure an optimal spot. Why not make a full evening of it, too, by ordering a meal at the Royal Oak before or after the event? One of Balmain’s oldest and most loved pubs, it serves a delicious range of food and beverages.
If you miss out on a ticket, you can still watch the event as it is livestreamed from the Roaring Stories Facebook page (accessible on the Home page and from the Live tab). A recording will also be available to view later as an upload on the Roaring Stories YouTube channel.
