Quarterly Essay launch – Saul Griffith in conversation with Dee Madigan

Please join us to celebrate the launch of the new issue of Quarterly Essay, in which inventor, entrepreneur and key adviser on landmark US climate legislation Saul Griffith presents a game-changing energy plan to empower and enrich households and communities.

Griffith will be in conversation on the ideas and insights covered in his piece with Dee Madigan, an award winning creative and one of Australia’s leading campaign strategists. Expect a rigorous, deeply informed and invigorating discussion: a must for all engaged citizens!

Copies of QE889 The Wires That Bind will be available for purchase at the venue through Roaring Stories, with Griffith signing copies after the discussion.

This will be the second Quarterly Essay launch hosted by Roaring Stories, with the first in December 2022 a highlight of our event program, selling out incredibly fast. (Watch a recording of the event here.)

Attendees are asked to arrive at 6.30pm or earlier for a 7pm start at White Bay Beer Co. Seating is unallocated – another reason to arrive early to secure an optimal spot!

The bar opens 6pm and closes at 9.30pm on the night of the event. Settle in and grab a drink before or after, with an incredible range of locally brewed beers and other beverages to enjoy. There’ll be plenty of delicious food available too thanks to special event caterer Agape, so why not make a full evening of it and come for dinner too? You can order before or after the event.

If you miss out on a ticket, you can still watch the event as it is livestreamed from the Roaring Stories Facebook page (accessible on the Home page and from the Live tab). A recording will also be available to view later as an upload on the Roaring Stories YouTube channel.
