Richard Fidler in conversation with Linda Jaivin

A few years back, Roaring Stories had the privilege of hosting ABC RN host of Conversations, Richard Fidler, as he released his magnificent book, The Golden Maze. We are delighted to welcome him and audiences back again to celebrate his latest book, The Book of Roads and Kingdoms, which tells the story of the medieval wanderers who travelled out to the edges of the known world during Islam’s fabled Golden Age.

On Wednesday 19 October, join Fidler in conversation with Linda Jaivin (The Shortest History of China) on this extraordinary new book.

The Book of Roads and Kingdoms will be available for purchase at the venue through Roaring Stories, with book signings from Fidler following the discussion.

Attendees are asked to arrive at 6.30pm or earlier for a 7pm start at White Bay Beer Co. Seating is unallocated – another reason to arrive early to secure an optimal spot! The bar opens 6pm and closes at 9.30pm on the night of the event, making for an opportune time to settle in and grab a drink before or after, with an incredible range of locally brewed beers and other beverages to enjoy.

There’ll be plenty of delicious food available too thanks to a special event caterer, so why not make a full evening of it and come for dinner too? You can order before or after the event.
