About The Event
Tim Ayliffe in conversation with Michael Brissenden
‘Tim Ayliffe writes on a grand scale—stories of international intrigue, extreme ideologies, life and death stakes—all told with a journalist’s insight into humanity at its worst and its best. With Killer Traitor Spy, Ayliffe proves he is a master of the genre.’ — Sulari Gentill
He’s a veteran journalist, Managing Editor of Television and Video for ABC News, and the former Executive Producer of News Breakfast. And – in his spare time – a writer of hugely popular global crime thrillers.
Tim Ayliffe’s new book Killer Traitor Spy reunites readers with the character of journalist John Bailey, who must team up with CIA officer Ronnie Johnson to outwit their most deadly adversary yet. Involving a Russian millionaire, government traitors and a deadly spy game, this fast-paced, high-stakes page-turner is already set to be adapted for the screen.
On Thursday 6 July at The Royal Oak, join Ayliffe in conversation with former ABC Moscow correspondent and author of The List, Michael Brissenden.
Copies of Killer Traitor Spy will be available for purchase at the venue through Roaring Stories, with Ayliffe signing copies after the discussion.
Attendees are asked to arrive at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Seating is unallocated – another reason to arrive early to secure an optimal spot. Why not make a full evening of it, too, by ordering a meal at the Royal Oak before or after the event? One of Balmain’s oldest and most loved pubs, it serves a delicious range of food and beverages.
If you miss out on a ticket, you can still watch the event as it is livestreamed from the Roaring Stories Facebook page (accessible on the Home page and from the Live tab). A recording will also be available to view later as an upload on the Roaring Stories YouTube channel.
